Starting and naming Magdalena's Treasures was my way of honoring my Grandmother Magdalena Hafer Miland. My Grandmother inspired me as a young child by showing me how to sew, and bake. She lived on a small farm in Washington and my time there visiting my grandparents, Aunt, Uncle and cousins was and still is some of my most precious memories. My Grandmother always took the time for me and I adored her for teaching me those skills. My mother named me after her and for me the bond was very special. I cherished every moment with her and miss her to this day.
Magdalena's Treasures is a our little gift shop that show cases our homemade, hand-crafted, homegrown products. Our son owns a small homestead outside of Helix, Oregon. We joined together to plant our first lavender field. We harvest the lavender, dry it and use the lavender in our homemade products. Its exciting to work side by side with our children and grandchildren making this dream come true.
